A 20-year-old young man stole a bicycle from another young man in La Plata after intimidating him with a knife. After the robbery, a group of delivery people tried to lynch the thief. The incident took place at the corner of 8 and 45 in the city center on Monday night. The alleged criminal approached the victim and, showing the blade, carried out the assault.
Neighbors and delivery people in the area reacted by capturing the thief a few meters from where the robbery occurred. They beat him and kicked him on the ground. Later, officers from the Local Police's Motorized Tactical Squadron intervened, apprehended the suspect, and confiscated the knife used in the robbery, recovering the stolen bicycle.
Once arrested, the thief was taken to the First police station, where he was made available to the Functional Unit of Instruction (UFI) number six and the Guarantee Court number six for the crime of "attempted robbery."
